Brazilian concert, film & media composer and pianist, currently living in London.
Biography
From a very early age Pedro showed deep interest for the arts and his passion for music particularly sprouted when he began to study piano – at the age of 7. What began as merely learning an instrument of choice soon became a serious affair when at the age of 12, while living in São Paulo, he was approved by the School of Music of the State of São Paulo (EMESP – Tom Jobim).
At this conservatoire he had the opportunity to study classical piano, harpsichord, and composition with renowned musicians of the Brazilian scene, they included the pianists Leila Mutanen and Marina Brandão, the harpsichordist Alessandro Santoro and the composer Rodrigo Lima. Pedro was recognized for passionate performances at recitals and exams and for compositions that guaranteed him invitations by the teachers to take part on more advanced classes. He also received mentoring from the worldly renowned concert pianist Alvaro Siviero.
In 2017, he moved to the UK to do a bachelor’s degree in music at Royal Holloway, University of London. At university he engaged in many other projects besides his studies, and it was during this time that Pedro began to form the solid portfolio of independent works and film soundtracks that is found in this website.
